Steinhagen - With the new "Oxynaut pro", wastewater specialist Jung Pumpen is bringing onto the market a new version of its SBR system for fully biological small treatment works, greatly enhanced by numerous modifications. Always oriented to the wishes and suggestions of the customer, the manufacturer has created an even more convenient system - compared to its predecessor - whilst retaining the same excellent cost/performance ratio.
The "Oxynaut pro" can be retrofitted in existing multi-chamber tanks or installed in new fully biological small treatment works made of concrete or plastic. The system is designed for the treating and disposing of wastewater from dwellings with four to sixteen residents and can be installed in the tank in just a few simple steps, since it comes completely pre-assembled. If used for retrofitting an existing three-chamber tank, there is no need to change the previous direction of flow. Due to its flexible adjustment possibilities, the "Oxynaut pro" can be optimally positioned to suit the existing tank.
Exact timing in the SBR rhythm
The new system works according to the so-called SBR system ("sequential batch reactor"). The purely biological treatment process, made possible by the SBR technology, involves five phases in total: at the beginning of the treatment cycle the dosing pump transfers an exactly defined amount of wastewater into the SBR tank from the buffer area of the pre-treatment tank. In the subsequent mixing phase, the biological system in the tank - the so-called activated sludge - is mixed with the newly added wastewater. During the ensuing aeration phase, the wastewater mix is then supplied at intervals with sufficient atmospheric oxygen. With its special, fully mobile construction, the submersible aerator of the "Oxynaut pro" provides a high rate of air introduction whilst handling the activated sludge gently. In the sedimentation phase, the flakes of activated sludge settle in the SBR tank and the treated water above it can be pumped out by the "Oxynaut pro" lifting pump and discharged into a watercourse, for example, or to a soakaway on site. Due to the particularly fine aeration bubbles generated by the "Oxynaut pro" in the tank, a cleansing efficiency of up to 99 percent is achieved.
Operation promises more convenience
Before start-up, the "Oxynaut pro" is individually adjusted to suit the particular conditions on site. Thanks to its user-friendly controls and open programming, the system can be readjused at any time and altered to accommodate changing requirements. The convenient menu-driven controls and easily legible clear text display allow the entire treatment process to be monitored at a glance.
Automatic energy-saving mode
Particularly welcome in times of increasing energy costs: due to the integrated "economy function", the "Oxynaut pro" controls identify low wastewater inflow rates when the residents are away and adjust automatically to the change in circumstances.

The "Oxynaut pro" offers dependable, high-performance and energy-saving technology for fully biological small sewage treatment works.

In the five phases of the SBR process, the "Oxynaut pro" achieves a cleansing efficiency of up to 99 percent.
