Steinhagen - The family of grinder pumps from the house of Jung Pumpen has a new addition. As of now, the wastewater specialist Jung Pumpen offers a reliable and maintenance-friendly submersible pump with a maximum delivery height of up to 45 meters: the MultiCut UAK/UFK 45/2 M.
Grinder pumps are suitable for pumping domestic wastewater with the usual constituents, as defined in the German Standard DIN 1986 Part 3. The new MultiCut UAK/UFK 45/2 M covers a delivery height of 45 m and can be used as a stationary pump in pumped drainage systems for the disposal of wastewater from sparsely populated areas or from individual houses. With its longitudinally sealed, water-proof pipe inlet, its SiC mechanical seal and a checkable oil chamber, the pump falls back on the reliable, tried and tested quality standards of Jung Pumpen's grinder pump range.
MultiCut technology breaks up the constituents
Thanks to the cutting system situated upstream from the pump inlet, the pressure main can have a minimum nominal diameter of 32 mm and be laid parallel to the terrain.
The sharp, rotating triple-blade cutter made of hardened stainless steel breaks up the solids that are normally present in domestic wastewater. The impeller running above the cutter then passes them into the volute casing and onwards into the pressure main. Solids that cannot be transported are rejected by the cutter before they reach the pump. Thanks to specially arranged grooves on the cutting plate, the cutter cleans itself continuously as it operates.
Designers and plant construction engineers will be particularly interested in the highly flexible installation possibilities of the MultiCut UAK/UFK 45/2 M: due to its compact form, the pump can be installed in collections chambers with diameters as small as 80 cm, such as the PKS 800 from Jung Pumpen. If a pump has to be replaced, the new MultiCut can be quickly and easily connected to an existing guide rail system. Using appropriate adapters, which the manufacturer can also supply, the grinder pump can be used in combination with any of the chamber systems available on the market - an added bonus, especially for the modernisation of existing systems.
The new submersible MultiCut UAK/UFK 45/2 M covers a maximum delivery height of 45 m and is compatible for use in any pumped drainage system.
