The Warsteiner Brewery, founded in 1753 is one the largest private breweries in Germany. At its original facilities in Sauerland, the company bottles its key product - one the most well-known and popular beers for German beer-lovers - the "Warsteiner Premium Verum". To experience the Warsteiner brands and the world of beer as well as to give an historical overview on the art of beer brewing - these are the goals of the brewery's new visitor centre which has been under construction since the summer of 2005.
With 3,100 square meters of space, the visitor centre will give an impressive insight into the tradition and innovation of the brewery. In the first building phase, the centre will include weather-independent restaurant facilities, an exhibition hall, a theatre and cinema as well as a beer coach station. During the first phase of construction, the company invested approximately 11 million Euros. By creating a visitor centre, the number of visitors to the brewery promises to double.
For wastewater disposal from the new building complex, Warsteiner trusts Jung Pumpen's proven disposal systems. Using pressure drainage, all wastewater is disposed of through the public sewage network. To this end, two submersible pumps, the UFK 35/2 M with the MultiCut cutting system, operate in a wastewater collecting tank. The PKS 1200-D50 collecting chamber is constructed from corrosion-free plastic and is specially designed for disposing of drained wastewater from property premises as well as in industrial and municipal areas.
The disposal system is centrally regulated by the control unit BD 610 Ex - another development from Jung Pumpen.
With reliable technology from the German wastewater specialists, the new visitor centre has a coordinated disposal solution appropriate for the expected number of visitors. And as a result, being true to the company philosophy during the building of the new centre, Warsteiner underscores their own maxim to combine innovative technology, high-quality design and environmental awareness.
